Hello Again
-
My fascination with textiles really began in the late 1990s when I seized the chance to take a part time course in Art and Design whilst my children were at primary school. Prior to that I had enjoyed drawing but with academic studies, my career and then my young family taking up much of my time (very enjoyably I hasten to add!) I had not had the opportunity to indulge my interest in art. The Access course led onto a degree in Art and Design: Textiles and Ceramics. Since graduating I have continued to work primarily with textiles both making and exhibiting my work. More recently under the expert guidance of Hilary Bower I have been developing not only my techniques but also the themes and concepts that underpin and inform most of my work.

I use my own technique of machine stitching onto knitted wire to create both large scale and smaller decorative wall hangings and framed pieces that I hope are both pleasing on the eye and increasingly thought provoking.
If you have any queries about my work please feel free to contact me and I shall do best to answer them! My work can be purchased by contacting me direct.
